Dear 3rd Graders, Welcome to OUR class! I am so excited to be your teacher this year and get to know each one of you! A little bit about me...I grew up in Columbus, Ks where I was involved in sports my whole life. I graduated high school in 2002 and played college softball for 2 years before I got hurt and decided to focus on school. I graduated from Pitt State (Goooorillas!) in 2007. Although I am a Pitt State grad, I have always been a Jayhawk at heart! We attend as many football and basketball games as we can every year! I have been married to my husband, Dan, for almost 4 years. We have one dog, a chihuahua, named Walter Walters. Some exciting news, we will be welcoming our first baby, a boy we're naming Evan this Sept. to our family. We could not be more excited about this new addition, Walter included! :) My favorite place to eat is Chipotle, we eat there every Tuesday night, and sometimes a few other days during the week as well! I also love to go camping, Royals games, shopping, swimming, reading (Harry Potter is my favorite!), and plain M&M's, but most of all I love teaching you! This is my 5th year as a teacher. I taught 2 years in 2nd grade, and the past 2 years I have taught 3rd grade all at Riverview. I am so excited to learn and grow with you, we are going to have an exciting 3rd grade year!
