Community Service

Students can count hours of community service they may have completed since April 1, 2012. Attached below on this web page is a community service student tracking form (see files folder). Please have students turn in forms to me when they are full or have completed 50 hours of service.

Any student that completes 50 hours of service by April 1, 2013 will receive the President's Service Award.

The definition of community service as defined by the Presidential Service Alliance, is any activity that has significant impact on meeting the needs of the community. Services that are paid for or carried out for a family member do not count toward community service hours. Services that would count include helping with community or religious organizations, school-based programs, scouting services (including fundraisers) or any effort to help others (see list of ideas attached below to this web page).

Please contact me if you have any questions @ 667-1800. Thank you in advance for making a difference!
