The goal of the summer school program is to provide intense instruction in the areas of reading and math for students who need extra time and support to master skills. As an educational system, our first priority is ensuring all students achieve at high levels. By focusing our planning and resources on students who need more practice and instruction, we are hoping to narrow the achievement gap for our students.
Students who are referred by their teachers for the Summer School Program
may enroll in classes to strengthen their skills in reading and/or math. Students are placed in classes based on their grade level enrollment during the 2010-2011 school year.
