Congratulations to the Mill Valley High School Scholars' Bowl team for winning the 2009 Kansas 5A Championship. The Jaguars competed in the state tournament on February 14, 2009. This is the first state title for Mill Valley in Scholars' Bowl competition.

Team members are Ted Hilk, Justin Eifert, Tim Needham, Bryant Webb, Jeff Wilson and Alex McWhirt. They are coached by Mary Beth Mattingly. 

The state tournament began with round robin play among eight teams.  Mill Valley had six wins and one loss in the first part of competition.  The Jaguars then won its semifinal round against Topeka West, and won the Kansas 5A championship against Bishop Carroll.  Go Jaguars!
