    Homecoming dance tickets are for sale during lunch and after the assembly tomorrow. They are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. 

     

    Saturday's dance is 8:00 – 11:00 p.m., and students must arrive by 9:00 p.m. Entrance is through the Activity Center entrance. We will not have a shoe or coat check-in. For faster check-in, bring your student id. 

     

    Outside guest passes for Homecoming must be signed by the principal of your date and in our office today.

     

    If you’re interested in being a part of Blue Crew, join us for an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 25 in the theater. Sign up, and learn more about how you can promote school spirit and show support for MV sports and activities. See Ms. Crutchfield in A205 if you have any questions.

     

    Attention National Art Honor Society Members: We will be meeting today at 3:00 p.m. in C118. Please bring $15.00 for dues. Additionally, if you are trying out for varsity, please bring three examples of your best art work.

     

    On Tuesday, September 24 during seminar Student Leadership Team is holding a pep rally in the main gym. They will be teaching cheers and chants that will be used during football games and other sports events. Freshmen are HIGHLY encouraged to attend. Bring your friends and get ready to get loud!

     

    There is still time to apply to be a member of the National English Honor Society. Please see Mrs. Anderson or Ms. Crutchfield to pick up your application. Applications are due tomorrow.

     

    The Read & Review meeting will be next Wednesday, September 25 during seminar.  Anyone can attend for the chance to pick up a book to read and write a short, anonymous review online about how you felt about the book.  Best of all, you get to keep the book you read!  Listen for the announcement during seminar to come to the media center for the meeting.

     

    Seniors!  Stop by the Counseling Office to sign up for your Senior Interview with your counselor!  Discussion will include graduation requirements, post-secondary plans, and Senior Shortened Day. Signup sheets are behind Ms. Intfen’s desk.

    If you are helping with class float decorating, meet in the auxiliary parking lot by the tennis courts after school. 

     

    All students who are riding a parade float will get on their float at Prairie Ridge Elementary at 6:00 p.m. The parade starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. 

     

    The Powder Puff football game starts at 7:30 p.m., immediately following the conclusion of the parade.

The school with the most votes by 1:00 p.m. tomorrow will be recognized by KCTV5 and Hy-Vee both on-air and online. The Sports Department will visit Mill Valley for a presentation and air the segment in our Locker Room Show! Vote!     Attention all Spanish 3, 4, 5 students:  All Spanish students applying to be inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society must turn in their applications to Sra. Paredes or Sra. Good-Bollinger on Monday, September 16. 

     

    Tuesday’s DECA bus leaves from the Activities Entrance at 7:00 a.m. sharp.  Please remember to bring money for lunch on the JCCC campus.
