Director of School Improvement
Michelle Hite serves as Director of School Improvement at USD 232. Her primary areas of focus are systems solutions for the district and buildings, Kansas Education Systems Accreditation (KESA), MTSS, and assessments & achievement. She joined the district in 2006 as a teacher and was promoted to Learning Coach, before being named Principal in 2010. She served in that leadership position for seven years before moving to her current role. She has a career of 29 years in public education.
Hite earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education, master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, master’s degree in Administrative Leadership, and district administrative licensure. As Director of School Improvement, she enjoys working with staff in buildings, departments, and teams to increase student achievement and engage teachers in data-driven decision making.
Degrees and Certifications:
Kerry Borchardt serves as the Executive Assistant to Teaching & Learning, specifically, the Department of School Improvement and the Department of Curriculum & Instruction. Kerry has worked in USD 232 for 13 years. She was the building secretary at Prairie Ridge Elementary prior to moving to the Administrative Offices. Kerry worked in the Finance Department before moving to Teaching & Learning, where she works with staff in the areas of data, assessments, budgeting, and curriculum. Kerry is a proud mom to three lovely daughters, two who are USD 232 graduates, and one well on her way.
