The Bridge
What Is The Bridge?
The Bridge is a program for students ages 18–21 who remain in the school system and continue to receive special education services. Our programming helps students prepare for greater independence by developing employment, daily living, social, and community recreation skills.
Students gain hands-on experience at community work sites, with skills transferable to competitive employment or supported job opportunities after they exit the program. For those unable to work in the community, The Bridge offers in-house enterprises—such as making dog treats and providing laundry services for district elementary schools—so every student can continue building valuable work skills.
