Mrs. Kristel Fulcher
My name is Kristel Fulcher, and I have had experience as both a classroom teacher and an educational leader. My career began in Ankeny, Iowa as an elementary teacher in both fifth and second grade classrooms. After four years in Iowa, I accepted a position with the Blue Valley School District in Johnson County, KS.
Over a ten-year period in Blue Valley, I taught second grade and sixth grade before being promoted to School Improvement Specialist for the district. After serving in that capacity for one year, I accepted a position as a middle school assistant principal. I had the opportunity to work as an elementary assistant principal and summer school principal.
My career in education took me to Kansas State University where I supervised and instructed student teachers. I joined USD 232 in 2016 as elementary curriculum coordinator, collaborating with elementary teachers, School Improvement Specialists, and principals in the areas of curriculum, assessment, and professional development. I graduated from Iowa State University with degrees in early childhood education and elementary education, with endorsements in Reading and Spanish. My master's degree is in educational leadership. My husband, Bret, is a software architect at Cerner. We have two children, Cale and Isabel.
