• MVHS Presents: "Once Upon a Mattress" Nov. 3rd through Nov. 11th!

Ticket order form is to the right. Tickets are on sale this week to cast/crew and next week to everyone. The ticket order form includes the cast list and which cast is perfomaing each night to be sure you order tickets for the family member/friend you want to see.

Once Upon a Mattress Rehearsal Information: The documents at the right include: 1. Ensemble assigments (which songs your ensemble is in), 2. Calendars - two different pages for the whole time span through Nov. 11th 3. Scene breakdowns - one for each act- to tell which characters are in each scene. This will allow oyu to see which nights you are called for rehearsal. If you can't figure it out from these documents, come see me & I'll highlight your calendar.

***Ladies in Waiting Lucille, Merrill & Rowena, your assignments deviate from the norm because of the scenes you are in with dialogue. Come see me for clarification.

The cast list includes 3 columns. The first column is your name (alpha by last name). The 2nd column is your assignment for the Mitzi cast (performs Sat/Wed/Sat) and the 3rd column is your assignment for the Mackie cast (performs Sun/Thurs/Sun.) As I explained at the audition workshops, we have done the  double casting in different ways each year depending on the number of students who auditioned and also based on the number of roles and ensemble scenes/songs in a particular script. This year it will be seniors who get to be in every show and freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be in alternate shows (as we did for last year's spring play.) As you look at the cast list, if you see the word "off" for a certain cast it means you are not scheduled to perform for the perofrmances of that cast, but may still be called upon to perform as an understudy in the event of student illness, etc. (Because we have a lot less guys than girls, the guys will be in every performance so our parts will be covered and the ensemble will be balanced.)

I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday at the first rehearsal at 3:30. I also look forward to watching you grow and develop as an artist over the next several weeks. I applaud your courage to take part in this project. To see the cast list, click here to open the pdf file.

Thanks and enjoy your Monday vacation!

Fun, love & Oreos, Mr. Copeland
