Students, families, friends, and district staff gathered on Wednesday, May 13 at Cedar Trails Exploration Center to celebrate the promotion of two students from The Bridge, Pedro Carrillo-Ortega and Fatima Mirzaee.
Superintendent Cory Gibson joined Chief of Academics Adelyn Soellner, Director of Special Services Andrea West, and The Bridge Administrator Toni Bradley to present each student with a diploma and certificate of completion.
Congratulations to these students and their families!
The Bridge is a program for students ages 18–21 who remain in the school system and continue to receive special education services. Programming prepares students to function effectively and independently at the next stage of their lives. This includes exploring recreation and leisure opportunities in their community, social skills development, specific skill development, and employment skill acquisition.
