Beau Peterson, Mill Valley High School Class of 2026, recently signed with the Houston Astros. Peterson was picked 133rd overall in the MLB draft, becoming one of the highest Kansas high school position players selected in recent years.

Peterson is the 2026 Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year and a two-time Sports in Kansas 6A Player of the Year. He finished his high school career by leading Mill Valley to a 24-5 record while hitting .535 with a .650 OBP and a 1.536 OPS. Though he played shortstop in high school, he's projected as a third baseman in the pros.

One day after signing, Peterson began his training in Florida with other Astros minor leaguers.
