USD 232 Recognized for Excellence in Student Success

At USD 232, we are proud to be a district that supports our families and communities with a strong commitment to student achievement. This dedication has once again been acknowledged by the Kansas State Department of Education and the Kansas State Board of Education.

USD 232 has earned distinguished recognition through the 2025 Kansas Can Star Recognition Program, highlighting our district’s exceptional work in educating students at a high level.

“I’m excited to celebrate your success,” said Dr. Randy Watson, Kansas Commissioner of Education. “USD 232 De Soto has been doing outstanding work with students that truly deserves recognition. The Kansans Can Star Recognition Program allows us to honor these efforts.”

This prestigious program acknowledges districts making significant progress toward the state’s vision for education: Kansas leads the world in the success of each student. USD 232’s achievements clearly demonstrate our commitment to moving closer to that goal.

• Academically Prepared for Postsecondary: Silver

• Postsecondary Effectiveness: Silver
