Unified School District No. 232 announced Mr. Collin Stucky as the new principal of Belmont Elementary, effective with the 2025-26 school year. The Board of Education formally approved Stucky’s appointment at its meeting on Monday, February 3.

Stucky will succeed Mrs. Pam Hargrove, who announced her retirement this past September after 21 years as a principal in USD 232 and a total of 39 years in public education.

The appointment of Collin Stucky follows an extensive search process conducted by the school district, which included interest from more than 40 applicants. “We are pleased to have Collin accept the leadership position at Belmont,” said Carrie Handy, Chief of Personnel. “His experience and commitment to improve student learning will have a positive impact on the great teaching already taking place at Belmont. His enthusiasm will help us achieve the district’s vision to maximize the potential of all students.”

Stucky brings 17 years of professional experience to USD 232. He is currently the principal at Gardner Elementary in the Gardner-Edgerton School District, a position he has held for the last four years. “I am excited for the opportunity to serve the students and staff of USD 232 and Belmont Elementary,” Stucky said.  “It is evident to me that I will be joining an excellent staff at Belmont, and I am looking forward to joining the team to continue growth and achievement for students.”

Stucky will connect with the Belmont Elementary school community in the coming weeks to welcome families and students to the 2025-26 school year.
