The dashboard data represents the number of positive or presumed positive COVID-19 cases in district schools and buildings as officially confirmed by Johnson County Department of Health and Environment that may have posed a risk of exposure at school.
The cumulative data is from the start of school on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 and is current as of 3:30 PM, Wednesday, April 7, 2021. The dashboard will be updated every Wednesday afternoon and reflects the weekly data from the previous Sunday through Monday for a total of seven days (including four school days). Students in the optional remote learning model are only included in the data if they are also participating in school activities in person at a district facility.
Contact tracing occurs following each positive test result and any individual in close contact will be notified and with a recommendation to self-quarantine. The district will always maintain the confidentiality of student/staff and no data will be provided that could be linked to identifiable information.
The next update will be Wednesday, April 14, 2021
Number of Positive Cases that may have posed a risk of exposure while at school.
Quarantine and Isolation Data to Date
Quarantine is recommended to keep someone who might have been exposed to COVID-19 away from others. Quarantine helps prevent spread of disease that can occur before a person knows they are sick or if they are infected with the virus without feeling symptoms. People in quarantine should stay home, separate themselves from others, monitor their health, and follow directions from their state or local health department. Note: quarantine is not isolation and does not include data of individuals who are positive COVID-19.
Isolation keeps someone who is infected with the virus away from others.
Important Note: Some isolations did not result in risk of exposure while at school and are not included in the first table showing positive cases with possible risk of exposure while at school.
