Current facilities are inadequate to support 5A/6A high schools, especially with the increase in student population. This proposal calls for expanded seating capacity at both schools of up to 5,000. Facilities will be updated to meet requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The expanded seating capacity would also better accommodate growing school events, such as outdoor graduation, games, meets, and community events.

At De Soto High School, the home-side seating will be relocated to face east. Both facilities would also add much needed storage.
