Fifth grade students at Mize Elementary will have the opportunity to take a virtual field trip thanks to a School Spotlight Grant recently awarded for the 2022-23 school year. This virtual experience integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and math into a hands-on experience that will show students how careers in creative design, engineering, advanced manufacturing, animation and the visual and performing arts come together to create animatronics in theme parks around the world. 
Fifth graders will be led through an independent activity with members of Garner Holt which incorporates real world learning opportunities into the curriculum. Garner Holt Productions is the leading manufacturer of animatronics used in movies, theme parks, etc.
