Greetings Families of USD 232,
I am so excited to be the proud superintendent of USD 232 and I cannot wait until our students are back in our schools! Although new to the district, this is my 31st start of a new school year as an employee, 14 of which I’ve served as a superintendent.
My experiences in education began as an evening school custodian while still in high school before transitioning to other roles in schools including grounds/maintenance worker, after school program assistant, tutor, substitute teacher, Title I paraeducator, teacher, counselor, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent. I can assure you that it takes a team of dedicated people to get everything ready for the start of a new school year. USD 232 is a special district filled with extraordinary staff members committed to do whatever it takes to support our students and their families.
My family and I have been impressed with so many aspects of the district and the communities we serve since moving here in late June. The amount of community support for our district is unmeasurable, and I believe we have some of the most talented and caring students in the state.
We know that communication and connections between our stakeholders and our schools is a priority for each of us. If you have not taken the quick survey sent out from our district last Friday (USD 232 Communications Survey), we encourage you to do so today. We will use the data gathered through the survey to guide our practices moving forward.
Whether your child(ren) are entering our schools for the first time or if this is their final first day in our district, please know that we thank you for sharing and trusting us with your most valuable asset….. your child(ren).
