Middle School Band Director receives Award of Excellence

Congratulations to Rob Foster, Band Director at Lexington Trails Middle School, for receiving the 2018-2019 Dr. William P. Foster Project Award of Excellence. Rob was one of five Division winners recognized at the Midwest Clinic Reception:  A Celebration of Musical Excellence, Diversity and Inclusion held on Thursday, December 20 in Chicago.

The Music Education Alliance “Award of Excellence” recognizes quality programs serving diverse student populations. This exciting initiative honors select educators, and their band programs, which are challenging students and reaching a high level of excellence.

Rob Foster was hired in 2005 as the Band Director at Lexington Trails Middle School. He is a KU graduate and holds a Master’s Degree in Music Education.
