USD 232 Staff joined local community organizations to help with Operation Christmas. This program was started ten years ago to assist district families that could use some help in providing a holiday celebration for their families. The first year, this effort assisted 50 families in the district. The need has grown over the years and, with it, the support of the USD 232 community.

This year, 80 families with 211 kids were "adopted" through Operation Christmas by different schools, businesses and organizations in USD 232. The donated gifts of toys, clothing, household essentials, and other items were then gathered at the USD 232 Administrative Offices for each family to pick up. District staff and students were on hand to help load these items for each adopted family in time for the holidays.
