Presidential Scholarship Candidates

US Dept of Education Seal Seniors John Pursell, Manoj Turaga, Ben Wieland and Adam White were named candidates for the 2021 US Presidential Scholarship Award.

Each year, up to 161 students across the country are named scholars, so to be a candidate is a huge accomplishment.

The names of the Semifinalists will be posted in mid-April; 2021 U.S. Presidential Scholars will be announced in early May.

Students chosen as U.S. Presidential Scholars receive an expense-paid trip to Washington, D. C. in June and are presented the U.S. Presidential Scholars medallion at a ceremony sponsored by the White House. During their visit to Washington, Scholars have access to important national and international figures, including government officials, educators, authors, musicians, scientists and other accomplished people.

Congrats and good luck to these outstanding seniors!
