How does this affect me?
If you used your district provided email address for a personal Apple ID, you will need to switch your personal ID to a personally owned email account. All purchases, downloads, photos and iMessages associated with your personal/consumer Apple ID will remain.
Important: Apple will not move or delete any personal content to your new district managed Apple ID. The move to a district-managed Apple ID will differentiate personal and educational/professional accounts, provide additional security, and provide more iCloud storage for school district purposes.
